Company Description

Vivian Corporation was founded in 1952 by a young pharmacist, Wilfred Gatt. Wilfred gave the company its name in honour of his late brother who had died whilst still a small boy.

In fact, the name Vivian – from the Roman name Vivianus – is derived from the Latin word Vivus which means ‘alive’.

Since those early days, the value of life has always been the greatest inspiration for all who work – or who have worked – with the company. The value of life – based on our strap line ‘Celebrating Life’ – has served as a guiding principle for the company’s operations in the importation and distribution of its products as well as through the standards of operation upheld and maintained by its members of staff.

The Gatt family actively manages the company along with a growing team of industry professionals that operate more like an extended family. Humble honesty and hard work have reaped its rewards, both financially as well as in terms of goodwill, since it enjoys a high level of loyalty from its large and varied customer base.

Today, Vivian Corporation is one of Malta’s leading distribution and marketing companies for Healthcare.
